At last, Faron Woods! Ysabel had wanted to venture to the island since she was a child, loving nature and the serenity it provided. Here that serenity was increased tenfold, no sign of intelligent life whatsoever… besides herself. The young woman didn't know what she was getting herself in to, as this was much more dangerous as it seemed. There were Bokoblins prowling about, looking for someone to harass. Deku Babas were laying in wait, hoping for a stranger to stumble across. Ysabel was ill-prepared for this reality but was currently looking at a peculiar mushroom.
This mushroom, when touched, released some kind of spore that proved to be interesting. Izzy hadn't quite put her finger on what it actually released, but she thought it was intriguing. She sat down, journal in hand, and started sketching the giant mushroom with intense focus. What she didn't notice was the fact that something was watching her.
A skulltula, hanging from a tree behind her, had gently landed on the ground and approached her from behind. Ysabel was completely oblivious to its presence, not knowing that, without help, death would be imminent.

Silence, all that was heard in the still green forest. Though rapidly, through the trees, something breaks the silence. Breaking the stillness, a green-ish black blur whizzes by. Most creatures either don't notice it, or can't even catch the being. Each time it begins to head up, it fires another arrow from the bow, it hooks into a tree and launches the blur further into the woods. Though in a small meadow, the green blur soon stopped there, going up, retracting the grappling arrow, and sticking the landing after a few mid-air tumbles. It was no longer a blur, but a humanoid. The silence of the forest was thick, allowing the humanoid's highly trained ears listen for movement. Which it picked up, it sounded like another human was moving, and was seemingly messing with a mushroom as she could pick up, the movement was maybe about twenty meters from where the humanoid stood. Though the next sound picked up sparked an action. The now blur again darted towards the sound's direction, (English) longbow drawn they saw what had moved, a skulltula. Before even the spider knew what was happening the humanoid spoke, with a somewhat mid-pitched feminine voice as it fired the arrow, "Watch out!!" it yelled before the skulltula was soon hit and died on the arrow's impact onto it's relatively thin armoured underbelly. The woman walked up to the other woman, removing her hood revealing a rather pretty face with silky black hair, she spoke with haste, but concern, "Are you okay ma'am?"

Holy f***ing sh*t, someone was shooting at her! What a psychopath! Ysabel, incredulous, couldn't bring herself to move. She sat there, pencil in hand, totally enraged by the events that had just unfolded. She still hadn't noticed the large, now dead, spider, and was, for lack of better terms, rather pissed. Izzy got to her feet and glared at the woman, taking a deep breath (and even that was seething with rage). She couldn't find the words to even speak with (and still hadn't seen the spider)!
"Are you some kind of lunatic?! You don't shoot at people! That's simply not correct! I cannot believe you, you savage!" Ysabel's tantrum was accompanied by stamping her left foot, and her face was beyond flushed. She didn't really handle anger well. It was then that her hair happened to part in the correct place, that her blue eyes saw the dead skulltula that had been behind her, and she nearly fainted. She didn't like this place any more.

The woman was utterly surprised as to what happened. At first the other woman was yelling at her and then almost passing out seeing the skulltula she had shot. Though she laughed a little before speaking again, "If that is how you thank people for protecting them from immanent death. The You're welcome I guess..." she responded with a smile as she looked her and the drawing, it was rather detailed and nice, though she had a whole different priority. The artist here needed some sort of protection, she spoke with a bow, "I'm Ilyane Rohan. Beast Tracker for the Red Wings guild. I will protect you in the forest so you, you know, DON'T die?" Ilya smiled, it was always nice for her adventures into the woods to be with others, that is, when she isn't on a job.

"I'm so sorry, please forgive my transgressions." Izzy bowed slightly, ashamed of her spoiled nature. How could she be so unaware and ill prepared? She was in hostile territory, after all. She was too oblivious and focused for her own good. She needed to bring a man with her next time. They'd do well to keep her awake.
"No, thanks. I don't need any protection." Ysabel put her book away and sighed. "I just need to be a bit more aware." Izzy gestured to her sword that rested at her hip, loving how it completely matched her entire outfit. "I appreciate the thought though." Ysabel pointed to the mushroom and pointed. "Do you know what they spore this creates does? I mean, I've yet to actually put a finger on it…" Normally she wasn't this open with people, but she had already deemed this as a special circumstance.

John had barely heard the commotion and ran to help. His dark green robes fluttered in the wind as he quietly ran to the women's aid. He slid to a stop and looked at the scene. He saw his fathers friend and smiled at her "Ilya!" he said politely tipping his hood. "Oh um..." He said looking at Ysabel "Hello there ma'am." He said with a faint smile. She was certainly a pretty one and he loved that. "Do you need help with anything?"

Ilyane smiled and nodded, she knew what the spore did to at the least humans. She pulled the arrow out of the Skulltula's underside and wiped it off on a leaf, she soon spoke as to the spore, "That spore will paralyze you. Basically knock your nervous system right out of your body. That's why skulltulas hang about near them, it's a free meal, still warm and fresh." she said as a howl was heard in the forest as Ilya sighed, a wolfon caught the other woman's scent. Soon his pack would be on them, Ilya alone would be fine to handle them, since she was far more agile, though she worried about the other woman, she was far less equipped to deal with eight of them, she spoke, sounding as calm as the evening breeze, "His pack will be here shortly, I suggest you stay close to me. Trust me when I say this, you will be safer with me than alone. I know this forest, and have a hunter's post we can hide in until the Wolfons are gone. Okay?"

"Sweet." Ysabel wrote the words down in her book, thinking that this plant was truly remarkable, not the least bit afraid of the spore or the plant. It was only seconds before she noticed the newcomer, the cute newcomer, and decided to devote to him a little attention. She wasn't sure how to conduct herself around men, so she simply smiled and nodded. "Why, yes. While this kind woman goes and slays those animals, I need you to protect this mushroom so it doesn't get hurt."
Wow, that was pretty ridiculous. Surely Ilya would need help to take care of the oncoming herd of wolf thingies, so maybe Izzy should be asking him to help her and watching the mushroom herself. "Okay, well, I'm not hiding. I need to protect this mushroom and its baby mushrooms. If we can't stay here, then I'm sorry, but I'd rather die." A horticulturalist to the bitter end, stubborn and ridiculous as always. Izzy could hold her own and had the capacity to heal others, so she saw no problem with it.
"He, a strong and capable male, can surely help you fend them off here?"

John realized he was being played and to be honest he enjoyed it. He placed his hands on his hips and smiled "So you want me to fight off the big bad wolfens?" he asked looking the woman over. "Ilya you think we can take the pack on ourselves?" He asked slowly walking over to her. "I mean we can't let this poor woman get hurt could we?" he asked winking at Ysabel.

Ilyane sighed, mainly at the other woman, but at John as well, she looked at John and took out a explosive arrow, "John. You barely handled a pup. How am I to expect you to handle yourself against about 8 adults. Then again, with a second member. If you won't flee, don't cry for me to help treat your bite wounds." she scolded, knowing John was an assassin, though she knew much more than the two. She soon took aim with her longbow, waiting for the Wolfons to come closer, she spoke with a calmness to her irritation, "Watch the spore. It will paralyze you. Which at that point you're dead weight. Remain calm and aim for the eyes." she knew what she was talking about, but couldn't help but sort of swallow her fear. She may be a beast Tracker, but she still knew when there are likelihoods of death. Though she heard movement going from the left towards them, she looked over to see two flanking the three, aiming she fired. The front runner of the pair was utterly killed, the second fled back as the other six came towards them.

Ysabel, currently in a very self-centered mindset, drew her blade and stood in front of the mushroom. She had already played around in the spores and nothing had happened yet, so she was hopefully immune to the effects of the natural paralysis. A smile graced her face when Ilya spoke to John. Somehow, this entire situation was pretty amusing. Though she didn't want anyone to get wounded, she wasn't necessarily afraid.
There was an element of confusion from Ysabel's side; how was she supposed to aim for the eyes with a blade? This was probably why she was the mushroom guardsman. That she could do. If they got close enough she would be able to stick them quite easily. That and, if anyone did happen to get a bite wound, her services may be needed as well. As there was nothing she could immediately do, she just stood back and watched.

John sighed and chuckled. He absolutely hated having his skills being belittled by any one especially those close to him. He knew damn well he was a good fighter and he had to prove it to himself and to the beautiful woman guarding the mushrooms for what ever reason. He drew his sword knowing the relatively weak and small blades he used for assassinations wouldn't be enough. "I've got this." John said slowly moving his blade in the air until a beast lunged at him. He skillfully dodged and swung his blade into the wolfens belly causing it to flip and spill it's guts over the forest floor.

Ilyane was at the wrong place, and at the absolute wrong time. She was taking aim at another Wolfon, when John gutted one. Needless to say, she was thankful for her cloak as the arrow was knocked from Ilya's grip as the body fell behind her. She sighed before firing a different arrow which... Went straight into the beast's chest and the incumbent explosion... She was covered in more Wolfon guts. She looked at her cloak and sighed, the remaining three wolfons had now fled before Ilya spoke, "Ugh... Today is not my day..." she said taking off the entrails, which she was covered in blood and chunks as well. Needless to say, that green cloak was removed quite rapidly, which was starting to smell disgusting, she looked at her black gear and nodded, "Well John. Thanks to you, my cloak reeks of... Wolfons. Though, are you okay?" her last question was to both of the other people. John, she knew was not going to say he was hurt, just like his father, though she more was wondering about the other woman.

Ysabel hadn't liked what she was seeing. This drove her to hiding underneath the paralyzing mushroom and peering from underneath like a puppy from under a table. She had her hands over her head and her eyes were clenched shut. She wasn't a coward, she just didn't want to get all nasty. She didn't care to smell like dog guts for the rest of her time here; she needed to get all of these mushrooms documented. That meant she would be here for, well, quite a while.
"I'm fine." Izzy was still underneath the mushroom and looked quite ridiculous. She was lucky the mushroom was large enough for her to hide under. "Though I must say, you smell horrid." She said the latter with a grin.
