The same dream. It haunted him, it truly did. Peaceful slumber was constantly interrupted by this terror in the night. Ilyndrathyl lie awake, wrapped in his blankets, waiting for the torture to end. Shaking his head, his snowy hair fell around his face. The man sat up and gazed out of his tent, seeing the dying light of the fire and the tents of his men. It was midnight, a time when the normal beings who inhabited this planet were sleeping. It was strange that he was still haunted due to his past, but he couldn't help but to be in constant reminder of the events. Every time he looked in the mirror the scars were there. He couldn't get away.
The towering man stood, wearing only pants, and took a step outside of the tent. They were nearing the peak of Death Mountain now, the air cooler than it was on lower elevations. It was summer and the view from their camp was spectacular, to say the least. Careful not to disturb the slumbering men, Ilyndrathyl made his way to the edge of the plateau and sighed, placing his hands on his hips. The faint breeze blowing made his hair sway, the light of the moon shed eerie light on both his hair and his skin, really accentuating the scars that were on his back. He wasn't sure what to do; there was no one to talk to and sleep, at least for the time being, had been ruined.
"Sometimes I just wish things had been different." He mumbled, voice carrying well through the air. Whether or not the solders were alone was not a concern to him, as he was confident in his abilities to take many people on. He was, after all, an elf.

Fa'ye had been sent to death mountain under order. There was a force by the summit, and really she would be and was, the only one fast enough to make it to the mountain by midnight. Thus she mounted up on her Pegasus Reinna and flew to the area the movements were last seen. It was a late-night mission for her, nothing she wasn't used to, she was almost the scout for the Western Branch of the Royal Guard. Her Pegasus was the reason, where it would take days by regular horse, while a pegasus was much faster in the air. She had made it to the foot of death mountain by roughly 23'rd hour. (11 P.M.)At that point she had stopped for a brief respite, so that she could wake up a bit more, and for a little rest for Reinna, whom had been pushed quite hard to get where they were in the time they did. Though during the respite, she felt something was a little off about the mountain. She couldn't tell what, but she could just feel it.
Though soon enough, Fia'ye had peeled away from her thoughts. She got back on Reinna, and began flying back up towards the summit. After very little in the way of events as she flew, she finally reached close to the camp, spear in hand just in case the group was hostile, Reinna trotted towards the tents, her scarlet hair caught by the wind of the summit, she reached the encampment and noticed a rather tall, silver-haired man standing outside of a tent, it was apparent that the man was an elf, she got within speaking distance before speaking in a tone that was a 'with all due respect' manner, "Excuse Me sir, but may I ask why you are encamped on Hyrulian grounds...?" she asked, gazing at the man.

It wasn't often that people climbed mountains, especially at this time of night. Whoever it was didn't know who they were dealing with, either. Intuitively Ilyndrathyl figured that whoever it was didn't deserve his time or attention and contemplated going back to bed, but that could jeopardize his position and the lives of his men.
"If you had any diplomatic context you would know, so that leads me to believe that you're either a nosey peasant meddling in affairs that are not their own or a soldier sent here to guide me toward the cave in which the beasts I hunt reside." Ilyndrathyl didn't bother to look toward the woman, as he was currently being quite the authoritative figure who did not want to give his inferiors the attention they thought they deserved. She was not one of his soldiers and would not be treated as one unless she could prove herself to be affiliated to his allies or himself. He would delve out information if she proved to be worthy, but until then, he focused on the horizon.

Instead of telling Fia'ye why the group was here, he basically told her off, "My name is Fia'ye Kirasugi, I am of the west Barracks of the Hylean Royal Guard. Now I ask you again, why are you here, and rather, what beast are you hunting?" she barked, now ready for a fight, one would think, if someone like how Fia'ye is dressed, armour with the Royal Guard insignia engraved on it, along with a Hawk harrying a crescent rune, signifying her barracks. Though Fia'ye was still calm, she wasn't a beast tracker, but knew the landscape and where some nasty things were. Though she wasn't letting the men go to their deaths so quickly, since they weren't of Hyrule, and that would look bad on her part. She wouldn't let them go alone. Fia'ye hoped for an answer, though asked another question, the elf was admittedly handsome, and she was intrigued, "Though, may I ask your name?" she asked in a more kind tone.

With the following words, Ilyndrathyl turned to look at the girl and noticed her garb. Surely he had been mistaken but that definitely didn't mean he was going to apologize, it simply wasn't in his nature. His eyes shone eerily in the night and he turned his attention back to the horizon. The moon shone a little brighter now, furthering the definition of his plethora of scars. He felt slightly exposed, what with being half naked, but didn't care.
He had nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing.
She sure was asking a lot of questions, of which he felt no need to answer, but he felt he should prevent further rudeness. He stood at least a head taller than the female, making him feel like even more of a giant. Why'd these Hylians have to be so small?
"We're hunting a pack of creatures you might refer to singularly as a Cyclops. They've seemingly posed great danger to this ecosystem and my squad is prepared to finish them off." With a thoughtful pause, Ilyndrathyl contemplated continuing. They were 'intruders', so he figured it would be best to oblige. "My name is Ilyndrathyl Tanagathor," As he spoke his name he turned to Fia'Ye, placid as always. The words rolled off his lips in a brilliantly executed Labrynnian accent. "Captain of this squad that lies before you."

Fia'ye's eyes were from her relaxed gaze, to a rather intimidated look, it was strange to her that a squad of footmen were just going out to seemingly their deaths to hunt a cyclops, no, multiples of them. They could very much use the help she could offer, since fighting the cyclops on the ground was rather difficult, she knew how hard a cyclops was, and wasn't going to let the men go without her aid, "If you are going for the cyclops. You will need my help. I've taken down cyclops before, and it's easier by air." she paused, letting her words sink in a little, she was rather intimidated by the cyclops idea, but knew her commander's words quite well, 'if they are non-hostile, help the bastards' to which she would, after all, it was in the oath, help all one can. Fia'ye nodded as she dismounted now having to look up at the man, 'Oh goddess he's a tall bastard!' she thought looking up at the shirtless elf, "So Mr... Ilyndrathyl... Why would Labrynna care of what happens in Hyrule..?" she asked, unfortunately butchering the man's name, though she wished to know why a foreign country would care so much.

It was cute how she thought that they'd need her help. He wasn't one to ask for help and rarely accepted, but if he told her no she would probably follow. That he wanted no part of. "You can help, but you'll be held to the standards of my company." Listening to him and following his orders. He didn't trust this Fia'Ye, but she seemed relatively harmless. He would be able to take her out if she got too unruly… right?
Ilyndrathyl raised an eyebrow, curious as to how she came up with that question. "Labrynna cares not about what happens to Hyrule or it's citizens. Labrynna cares about research." The large man carefully chose his words, speaking slowly and deliberatively. "As you may know, soldier, Labrynnians are scholarly mages, at least the majority of them. They want to test their magic against beasts and find ways to kill them so that my home country can be protected."
"I came here because I care about what happens to people and I am not careless enough to get myself, or my men, killed. I'd rather not have dead Hyruleans either. All for the common good on my part, but there is a scholar in our midst." It was his job to figure out strengths and weaknesses, and the rest of the men were going to be left with actually killing the monsters.
"Where'd you get the pegasus?" He didn't like to be nosey, but he was curious. Winged horses were only told of in articles published in ancient times. Where'd this one come from?

Fia'ye smiled and nodded, noting what Ilyndrathyl had said, "So you are protecting Hyleans, where your country doesn't care? That's a little... Odd to hear..." she responded with a rather intrigued look, but an honest one at that. It was normal for her to adapt to the unit's standards, though she expected something less than what her commander put the recruits through, which had almost killed several of the recruits. At least Fia'ye, at that time nicknamed "Angel" for her actions to help the whole squad, had kept them alive. Then there was her father's training, Yanse'fey, known as "the War God" was never the one to have a light training regiment, even for his own daughter. Fia'ye knew that she could do would keep the squad alive, without slowing them down, though Ilyndrathyl had asked about Reinna, she looked at the beast and smiled turning back, a bit of hair covering her face a little, "You mean Reinna? She and I are from a distant country called Tutelia. Pegusi are rather common there. Though she had managed to save my life. That is where both of us are from. Any other questions?"

"Odd as it is, it's the truth." Ilyndrathyl enjoyed the company, but he wasn't about to dish out information on his history and how his sister had convinced him to do this. That was simply not allowed. If he were Fia'Ye he, too, would be intrigued. He wasn't going to respond to the prompt unless she persisted, as speaking of his past wasn't really his favorite thing to do. He did not like monsters and he did not like senseless death. That was a great summation of it all.
The man took in the thought of this land called Tutelia, thinking it over. Perhaps there was something about it to be found in the library. "Yes. What made you want to come to Hyrule? And why, pray tell, are you wandering Death Mountain?" There was a hint of a joke in the last line, though Ilyndrathyl wasn't a good joker. He fell flat more often than not and was simply not personable enough to create a joke that didn't flop.He understood that she was a member of the royal guard, but that didn't explain much else.

Fia'ye laughed a little, more or less forcing it after the joke. The man was, amusing to her now. He was different from what she could remember with Lbrynnians, though he asked about her coming to Hyrule out of all other countries, she nodded and spoke, with a soft tone, "Well. After a few events in my past... I got onto the first ship out of Tutelia. Though being a stowaway, I didn't have much choice... Thus I ended up in the country know as Hyrule. Yeah. I have had a different life compared to most." she stopped, as if reminiscing of her past, it was a problem she had continually gotten. Then again, her past wasn't a good one. Since Fia'ye's father and mother were dead, and she could only stand there helpless. As she had this flashback, she tightly gripped the navy blue scarf around her neck, it was apparent that it was important to her. Even if the scent of her father had faded, she still held it as the heirloom of her family. It was rare that it wouldn't leave her neck and shoulders, she cherished it that much.

"I have had a different life compared to most." Upon hearing those words, Ilyndrathyl's jaw tensed and his body stiffened a bit, thinking about how different his own life had been. It was something he had hoped to be distracted from and really didn't want to think about it any more than necessary. "I can understand that." His voice, normally emotionless, held a certain deep sadness that could not quite be named. He cast his gaze downward, looking at the rock below. He didn't know what to do or what to say, as this type of information had only been disclosed to Indilwen. She was the only one who had been able to pry the information from him.
Personal relations bothered the large man. He didn't want to get attached, he didn't want to care, he didn't want to have emotions, period. He didn't want to hold onto the past, he didn't want to be like this, he just wanted to be normal. At the slightest hint of identifying with someone he wanted to run and hide, and that irritated him beyond belief, but it was a defense mechanism he had installed within his own personal coding. It helped him complete his jobs without much distraction, but when he was on leave, he was seemingly alone.

Fia'ye soon shook her head, the wings that remained in her hair jingled a little as her hair flowed quite a bit, it took it's time to settle down a bit more as she smiled, "Anyway. Before we cover the mountain with tears. Lets move on to a different topic. What is Labrynna like? I've never have had the chance to be there. And I wish to travel there at some point." she asked, it was a panic switch that she uses to get away from her past. Even if it was what made her whom she is. She can't ever look back at it without almost falling to her knees and bawling her eyes out. It was needless to say, her tragic past was filled with bloodshed and loss of those she loved. Fia'ye kept suppressing it,it was all she could do since she seriously did not wish to begin sobbing, that was one thing that was not going to happen.

The question got a laugh from Ilyndrathyl, if you considered a laugh as blowing more air out of your nose than usual. How could he even begin to describe the place of his birth? "In an objective sense, it's a nice place. It's a safe place to learn and to train, though it tends to be a little eerie. The most famous sites are a graveyard and a haunted woods. My sister sees beauty in it, but I'm not so fortunate." After what had happened to him, the only thing untainted about Labrynna was Lynna City.
"The people are kind, but they're all stuffy; proper, well disciplined mages that are a force to be reckoned with. The libraries and schools are filled with information, and that's probably what it's known for." Labrynnians were relatively impersonable people themselves. They put learning and other objective things before the common good and other values that similar countries had. The only way Ilyndrathyl was able to experience that was through traveling. That was what made him realize that he should talk more himself and not brush others off so carelessly.
"My experience of the country is much different than that of others, but I've spent at least fifty years of my life there. Probably the best fifty years of my life."

Fia'ye shrugged, to each their own as far as she could tell. Though she had no real response per say. Though she noticed something that spooked Reinna. She watched as the Pegasus basically flip it's shit and tear off into the air and about twenty meters away, she watched the beat shift about uncomfortably, to which Fia'ye began walking to it, "Aw come on you big baby! What spooked you?" she asked looking around and then noticing what had spooked Reinna, she looked at the creature, spear in hand as she spoke to the elf to which she can't really say his name, "You said you are looking for a cyclops right?" she asked with a bit of fear in her voice, "Because I think I found it..."

Great. Just great. Now there was a cyclops to deal with and he was currently half naked. Wasn't Fia'Ye the expert 'clops killer? With a yell in Elven tongue, Ilyndrathyl made an effort to raise his slumbering underlings so that they would be prepared and wouldn't get harmed. He was currently unarmed, but he was definitely not afraid of facing the creature now. He strode after Fia'Ye, unafraid, and looked at the beast, which was probably alerted to their presence due to the current commotion.
"Well, you're the cyclops expert. What are its weaknesses?" The coolness that his voice held was enough to unnerve even the most experienced war veterans. He was clearly unafraid, staring up at the monster like it was his great-grandmother. Surely it wasn't the wisest decision, but he was unarmed and wasn't sure as to how he should approach it. Would fire simply piss it off? His men had quickly assembled and were shortly standing behind him, awaiting orders. They varied in size and species, and most appeared to be fearless as well.
