It was a rather normal day in the Kokiri Forest, rather, it was quite beautiful outside. The sun shone through the openings between the leaves and trees of the forest. The forest was dark in the distance, other than the golden rays of light which seeped through, illuminating the ground of the forest, revealing the life underneath the canopy. Especially a set of four Silver wings, and soon a human body leading the one end of said Silver Wings. They weren't like a bird's, rather, closer to a fairy's wings, which sparkled slightly in the sunlight, giving off a gray glimmer. As the wings moved softly, along with the wings' wielder, whom moved loftily among the trees silently, almost as if he were at peace as the man in white's hair and clothes rustled gently. At least, until he saw a woman of blue in his immediate path. Form as far as the silver man could tell, she came from a blind spot, behind a tree, his blind spot. As soon as the man saw her, he pulled his wings close and bounced himself off a tree with his hands. It was a crash landing. He knew it was going to hurt, and it did, as he tried to gain his footing, a root caught his foot, which sent him tumbling past the woman, barely missing her in the process, and sent his back, wings, and head into a tree hard. The tree shook at the hit as the man sank down in pain, and next to unconscious as he sat there.

Indilwen had been visiting her brother, Captain Ilyndrathyl Tanagathor, in Hyrule when she had overheard a conversation about Hylian fairies. Her interests peaked, she had left town in search of these fairies they spoke of. Anything that involved fairies made her heart sing. She loved the creatures, big or small, mischievous or timid. They peaked her interest every time she met a new one, always documenting what they had to say. She had gathered her things and set off for the Kokiri Forest, ready to see what she could find.
Brown leather journal in had, Indilwen had wandered around the forest for nearly two hours, afraid she was lost. She was far too timid to call out for help, so she set about trying to find her way out by analyzing the trees. It wasn't two seconds after she stepped out of her cover that loud noises occurred, and then a white man with wings went bouncing past her. Eyebrows drawn together like caterpillars feasting on the same leaf, Indilwen's face washed over in concern. She didn't know if she had any words to say, but she was sure that he wasn't feeling too hot.
"I…" No, she couldn't say that. "You…" That might come off as rude. It wasn't as if she actually cared about his feelings, but he was a human with a fairy's wings, and she was completely lost in her own mind. "Okay?" Was the word she mustered, tone soft and frightened, hands clasped at her waist, body stiff as a board.

Soon enough, the Silver man groaned and spoke, "That hurt..." he said in a tone that sounded pained, he rose rolling his shoulders and stretching his wings and looking rather calmly at the spooked woman. Needless to say she was pretty in his mind. Though he heard the woman ask something that sounded close to 'Okay?' which he nodded to, "I should be fine. May I ask if you are okay? I didn't hit you did I?" he asked showing concern as he floated himself to the pathway. So he could look her- The man noticed how tall he was compared to the woman, it offset him before he smiled a light smile, which showed his air as a fairy.

The only response the man got was a blank stare and a slight nod. Indilwen was truly so fascinated that she didn't know how to react. She tried to make her mind function, but she was having a terrible time. There was only one thing she was preoccupied with; those wings. As fate would have it, the first words from her pale pink lips were a little strange.
"Could I… touch your wings?" It was an odd request, and she hoped it wouldn't turn him away, but she had to see if they were truly what they seemed to be. Being a friend was not something that came naturally to the girl, but being awkward was her best business. She didn't know how anything in the real world worked and essentially lived in the fairy world. She was not as socialized as her brother, but she had a long time to improve. The height of the white fairy man didn't bother her, he was shorter than Ilyndrathyl, so she was used to men who were taller than her. She was shorter than many people.

The white man's smile grew a little awkward as the woman asked the question, he though thought something, 'why do most people ask that...? Well... I guess its normal... I am a fairy... Somehow.' before he nodded, "If you wish to. I have no mind" he responded as he soon knelt down and stretched his wings out like a blooming flower, he soon smiled, and spoke again, "My name's Namis. May I ask yours?" he asked, he at least wanted to know the pretty lady's name, it was normal as far as he knew. Though he knew his wings were real, though most ha their doubts, he was a fairy boy.

Indilwen had never been one to be passive, so as soon as opportunity presented itself she jumped. Literally. With a skip in her step, she approached the newly identified man and delicately outstretched a pale hand to touch his wing.
"Nice to meet you Namis. I am Indilwen Tanagathor, a fairy anthropologist." She felt introducing her title wouldn't make her seem so creepy. She genuinely hoped that was the case. She traced the wings with a soft hand and then stopped at the intersection of the four. "You have a very nice wing venation pattern. It's very unique. Don't see that often in the Fairies Wood in Labrynna. The all have the same fundamental pattern." He was clearly a different species, then. That was fine by her.

Namis smiled as he felt her hand on his wings, it was something that was normal to him, though unlike most whom touched his durable, yet surprisingly fragile wings, her touch was gentle, and rather soft. Where others had almost caressed his wings in their hands, she just ran them across, "Yeah... I have no idea how I came to be..." he mentioned, replying to her last comment, he smiled as his wings fluttered a bit, it wouldn't hurt anyone, but it showed how they worked, he soon spoke intellectually, "Well. Most fairies of the Lost Woods have varying venations in their wings. Mine are the more different in the woods. I've been told other than the fact that they are fairy wings, they resemble a bird's... Do you have any idea...?" he asked, the woman, now named Indilwen looked smart, so he thought she would know something.

"I don't care much for birds." In other words, she didn't think they resembled a bird's wings at all. Only a fool would make such an assumption. The entire anatomy was different, their may have been some slight resemblance but nothing on the interior, which is what counted anyways. It was interesting that the fairies here had such distinctly different traits, but she still didn't plan to stay here long. She had to finish her cultural study in Fairies Woods, after all. There was no need to dwell on the varying types until she was at least 150.
"No clue whatsoever, but they're definitely wings that belong to fairy kind. How you got them I've no idea, but it's remarkable to see such delicacy atop a mortal frame. Even the Great doesn't have physical wings. There must be something in the way your bloods meshed that presented this physical anomaly." As far as she could tell, that was the only answer. It was rare for the Labrynnian fairies to stray from their own kind when it pertained to procreation, so she had virtually no clue. It was fascinating, nonetheless, and would be documented.

As Indilwen spoke Namis' smile had retreated, his happiness abandoned it's defenses. Namis felt bad again, and spoke with a voice that showed the feelings he had, "Oh... Okay." his words were like they were of one whom was stabbed through the heart, though he recovered quickly, and soon began to rise speaking kindly, "I'm not positive either, how they came to be, I know though, that if my wings are damaged, they'll regenerate within a few weeks. And completely severed, they'll be full size in four years" his words came from experience, "Most lost woods fairies are like that, yet I have a question for you, are you somehow... Lost?"

Due to her relative inability to process emotions, Indilwen didn't notice the tone in Namis's voice. She simply nodded and went on with her day. It wasn't that she didn't care, it was just that she wasn't really used to analyzing direct emotion when it applied to herself. In other instances, she would have pieced up on it. Since it involved her, she did not. No one had ever called her out for it so she saw no problems with her seemingly apathetic demeanor.
Wing regeneration was a new concept to Indilwen, as none of the other fairies had even lost their wings. It was an interesting take on the situation and that would be documented as well. She would have to come here when she was older and begin a new kind of study. When he asked her about being lost, she had the inclination to lie. As soon as the thought arrived it was dismissed. "Lost with purpose, I suppose." She didn't feel the need to elaborate, and her eyes portrayed her true lostness themselves.

Namis looked, rather confused and wishing to know more, "Lost in purpose? Please do explain. I have all the time in the world for a pretty blue lady" he paused, did that last line just come out? Yes it did. Namis definitely wasn't thinking straight, and that proved it. He shook his head and spoke again, this time thinking it through, mostly, "Rather. How can one be lost in purpose? Why not find another one?" he asked, now showing that he is thinking his sentences through. He didn't want to screw up again.

"P-Pretty?" If Indilwen's skin were blue, she'd have turned purple. This was the first time anything in her mind actually registered in a way that really hit home. No one had ever called her pretty. She wasn't pretty, she was plain. At least that's what she had always believed. Snapping back into reality with a quick shake of the head, she answered Namis's question yet again. "I came here to find fairies, and I found you, so I guess I've also found purpose." Made sense enough, could even be taken as flirting, not that she noticed it.
"I was lost with purpose. Meaning that it was intentional. As aforementioned, I have seemingly found purpose now. So I guess the formal answer to your question is 'no'." With a small smile, Indilwen nodded. Yes, that sounded good.

Namis nodded, though something told him that she was flattered by his mistakenly said comment before he spoke again smiling, "Well. You found a fairy, now what? Rather, a better question would be, do you wish to experience what most fairies do?" he asked smiling, he meant flying, which most had never experienced before. He loved it, every part of flying was something he loved, he moved fast and was still nimble as can be. Yet he stopped dreaming and outstretched his wings, their span was utterly huge, and were ready for takeoff.

Having prior experience with the Labrynnian fairies, Indilwen took his question as an invitation to do what the Labrynnian fairies usually did. Needless to say, the first thing that came to mind was not flying. Somehow becoming more timid than usual, Indilwen sadly shook her head.
"I do not drink, nor do I party; I'm afraid I'd rather not do what fairies do." The spreading and flaunting of male fairy wings was, in Labrynna, a sign of attraction and of anxiousness to mate. The gesture made Indilwen blush, though it was clear now that her interpretation was entirely off. Perhaps not to her, but to Namis it should have been. She wasn't sure how this man could be so forward with her - she was just a kindhearted she-elf who was lost with purpose, after all.

Namis quickly picked up that Ildilwen was picking up the wrong thing, he was hasty in thought, and speech, "I meant flying. Not drinking" his words were relatively fast and showed that he was flustered in his mind. Though he did speak again, in attempt to not make her more uneasy, "Lost woods fairies rarely drink, party, and so on. We tend to, when showing what we do, show people what it's like to be flying, sorry if you... Misunderstood what I meant..." he stopped, his silver wings sank back down to a neutral nature as if he were at fault. He waited for his arse to be chewed out.
