Lydia looked at Senka with a weak smile."Alright." she didn't feel like arguing with him. Her pain always won against her pride. "So how far is this hotel?" she asked stumbling along after her former lover.
"Mr. Senka are you and mommy gonna get back together?" Ulfric asked while on his fathers back.

Senka gestured smoothly with his hand. "It's literally right there." Sure enough, the Stock Pot Inn was only about fifteen yards away. He didn't really know how to respond to Ulfric's question, so when he entered the inn he held the door open for Lydia. "I don't think I can give you an answer to that question, Ulfric. I'm not a seer." He didn't know if he was willing, if she were willing, if it were even possible at this point in time.

Lydia shook her head "God damn it." she mumbled in disbelief of her own stupidity. "Sorry about that. I'm extremely exhausted and I've been up for hours taking care of the two little ones. You are so lucky that you don't have to handle them. I love them but they are a damn handful."

"I wouldn't mind taking them off your hands occasionally." Occasionally, as in probably not often and probably not for too long. Sporadically would have probably been a better term for Senka to use, no doubt. He wouldn't mind, he was pretty lonely. Didn't know what he'd do with kids, but it wasn't like he couldn't handle them. Might even be a good influence, if he was lucky.
"The room's forward and to the left. First door." Anju had recently remodeled, which was fine by him.

Lydia smiled. She thought he deserved to see his kids more but it would never be allowed. Attlas didn't like the man and would never let him see his kids. "I have no problem with that. Attlas however will be different. I have no idea what he will say but he should be nice."

Senka would have had a cold, heartfelt reply planned for Lydia's statement, but he didn't want to disgrace himself in front of his children. That was a matter to discuss without their ears being around. Maybe he'd just have to kill the fox and reclaim what was rightfully his. It wasn't like he'd have to do it alone. That seemed a little counterproductive, so perhaps that wasn't the best course of action to take.
"This is why I don't socialize. People I don't even know hate me." With a bitter chuckle, Senka opened the door and sat Ulfric down gently.

It's not that Attlas hates you it's just that he doesn't trust you. He sees you as a threat. He fears you'll hurt him, the kids, or take me from him." Lydia explained watching her kids with a smile as they ran into the room.
"Hey dad," Ulfirc asked looking up at his father. "Are we spending the night up here?"

The look on Senka's face was one of amusement. The thought of someone being afraid of him or him doing something made him want to laugh out loud. He wouldn't go off and hurt his children, no matter what they did or how infrequently he saw them. He certainly didn't want to 'take her from him'; he had better things to do with his time. There was nothing said at this point, but his face relayed his feelings quite well.
When the word 'dad' left his son's mouth, something stirred in Senka's heart. He offered a warmer-than-normal smile, "If you want to spend the night. You don't have to if you don't want to." He would totally be harder on them when they were older.

"Can we mom? Can we can we can we?" ULfric asked excitedly.
She smiled softly. She thought seeing their dad would benefit the kids. "Sure I don't see why not!" She said smiling at her kids.
"Yay!" Ulfric said hugging his mothers legs tightly "Thanks mom! You're the best!"

A small smile crept across Senka's pale face as he 'looked' to where he thought his younger son was located. "What do you think, Ralof?" He didn't want the quiet one to go unheard. All too many times had that happened to him. There wasn't one voice that shouldn't be heard, despite how small that voice might have been.

Ralof paused and ducked behind his mother for safety "I-I don't mind." He said timidly.
"Come on!" Ulfric said loudly. "You have to speak up! No one likes a coward!" he teased not knowing how much that hurt the little one.
Lydia glared at her son and wrapped an arm around around Ralof "Damn it Ulfric be nice."

"You can see which one takes after you," Senka murmured, addressing Lydia and concerning Ulfric. Loud and bossy, blunt. Patiently, softly, Senka addressed his older son. "Now you see, cowardice is fairly frowned upon. But it can be necessary. We are all different for a reason. If everyone was brave and loud, the world would be an awful place. Ralof is going to be someone different from you, but valued nonetheless." Those words came from the heart and sounded somewhat fatherly. A dab of wisdom had just escaped Senka's mouth.

Ulfric paused and looked from his mother to his father several times. His young mind was slowly piecing together the words of wisdom that had just been spoken.
Lydia glared at Senka with a look that showed both anger and a tinge of pain.
"I guess that makes sense. But being a coward will let others get hurt!"

Senka couldn't see Lydia due to his condition, though he probably wouldn't have gave it any care anyways. "Don't mistake cowardice for other traits. If you're shy and bashful, you may not be a coward. If you're quiet and thoughtful, you can still be brave. If you have the choice to shy away and prevent others from becoming hurt, cowardice can save the lives of many. Being a coward can get others hurt, and it typically a self-preserving ideal, but it is possible to do great things while being called a coward." Being brash and ignorant could get you murdered. Being a coward was normally the better route.

"But if a soldier backs down from a fight to save himself then hes a bad man! Why should other people be hurt because you aren't willing to fight?" Ulfric asked crossing his arms sternly "I mean look at the assassins they fight to save people! They don't fight unless they have to and they're brave!"
